This is another fine recording in the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra's Digital Super Audio Cd HYBRID series. [Works not just in SACD players but ordinary Cd players as well.] Zino Vinnikov [then leader of the RPO] gives a very strong performance of Tchaikovsky's Violin Concerto conducted by violin supremo Yehudin Menuhin with excellent backing from the RPO. Throughout the Concerto Vinnikov shines with a fine tone that I think most violinists would die for. He also is the soloist for two other short pieces for solo violin and orchestra which come after the Concerto.
